When starting over somewhere else seems the only answer

Pretty Little Liars (2010 -2017)
Have you ever fantasised about running away? Have you ever wondered what life would be like somewhere else?
Sometimes, starting over in a new place away from home feels like the only answer to finding joy in life again. When there no longer seems to be a solution to our problems, we create a different path and begin to romanticise a “new life.”
I’m not encouraging the idea of running away from your problems, but sometimes people don’t have another choice. When you’re carrying a burden that’s simply too heavy, searching for a new place to live can feel like the only way to move forward.

Little Women (2018)
A change of scenery, however, shouldn’t have such a strong impact on the way we live our lives. But why does it matter so much where we live? Shouldn’t the people around us matter the most?
In reality, although we may love living with our parents, for example, we are eventually bound to leave them behind and live on our own. This is a journey we face alone, and perhaps that’s why we are so fascinated by the idea of running away: we are all seduced by change.
It’s not about the people who surround us, but about the way we feel around them. Can we be ourselves? Are we happy in this place?
Things never stay still. Life is in constant motion, and change is inevitable.
For our own good, the idea of moving away and changing the way we live can be the answer, rather than simply running away like a teenager.

Friends (1994 – 2004)
It’s not about changing who you are; it’s about finding your true self. When you change the way you live and the place where you live, you’re often forced to discover who you really are.
Because happiness comes more easily when we feel comfortable, starting over somewhere else might be the answer to understanding who you are and what you want from life.
Even though change is always scary and there will always be a part of you expecting the worst, you may end up finding joy again and discovering a deeper meaning in your life.
In the end, you must be willing to change the way you see life, and perhaps that’s what truly matters, whether the change comes from a new place or from within yourself.
